Brief Summary of Research: Numerical simulation is crucial for fusion research because it helps scientists understand the basic physics involved and assists in designing future fusion devices. These simulations work alongside experiments and theoretical studies. To trust the results from these simulations, the models and methods used must be thoroughly checked against known examples. One important example is studying instabilities in the z-pinch, one of the earliest ideas for a fusion device. In this study, we focus on how a disturbed density profile evolves over time in a z-pinch plasma, which is a type of plasma column that is symmetrical around a central axis and has periodic conditions.
